Workflow Operational Query

Good Day All

I am new to the software and the forum. We are currently using Vantage, Carbon, Episode etc so I have a good idea how it all operates.

I have built my first workflow in FFAS, and started it, but it seems as if the files don't move to the next step after successful completion of each processor.

Is there something I am missing during the setup - starting services etc that I have missed out, or is there a specific way to set up the workflow to ensure it works properly?

Thanks

Neels

Hi Neels, thank you for using FFAStrans and welcome to the forum! :-)

What version of FFAStrans are you using? Please note that the first 0.6.0 build from yesterday had a stupid bug that will prevent the processor nodes to operate properly. If you are using that version please download it again from the web site and you will have a healthy version. It might be other problems though but please check this first.

Hi

I downloaded the latest version - I was using 0.60b3 before.

Still having same problem. I can submit a file to each of the processors manually and I see it in the monitor but it never passes the file on to the next one after successful completion of the processor.

For successful operation, do I only need to run the FFASTrans GUI and Workflow Monitor? I currently have 4 services running on the server.

Are there any specific environment requirements to make it work?

Thanks

Neels

You only need to run the FFAStrans gui. The Status Monitor is nice if you want to monitor the workflow but not necessary.
Maybe a stupid question but have connected the processor nodes and saved the workflow, right?

Hi

Yes I have - screenshot attached.

Will this run in a x64 environment?

I am running on Server 2008R2

Thanks

Yes, Server 2008R2 should not be a problem. I'm running on one as we speak with a similar workflow with the newest build. Can you please export your workflow and send it to post@ffastrans.com?

Can you also please confirm that there are no output files in your destination folder? Sometimes, if you have a small testfile, the delivery is too fast to show on the status monitor.
