Hello folks,
Just curious, will there be any new version of FFASTRANS?? I know it's an easy and stupid question, but I've seen that the software has already had a few versions since it was first launched in 2020.
- If the new version is released in the coming months, what do you think will be different??
Best,
Andi

Hi Andi,
i dont have the list of changes ready for you but 1.4.2 is relatively close to release and has - as usual - lots of small changes but nothing really big otherwise it would be called 2.0 (which is also being worked on but thats a different story)
Actually the FFAStrans team members mostly use the newest "beta", so you can more or less be sure the version is in production somewhere. But its a also available for the public.
You find it on github:
https://github.com/steipal/FFAStrans-Public
How it works is that on top left, you switch from "Master" to the latest version, e.g. 1.4.2, then on the top right, you click "Code" and download zip.
Here is a direct link to current 1.4.2 "beta":
https://github.com/steipal/FFAStrans-Pu ... /1.4.2.zip
I don't think @admin will post the release notes yet and keep them for surprise when the release is ready.

Hi ecmcodem,
Thank you for the information. Is good even when small changes are made to fix bugs and issues... it means the author really cares about his product.

He really does. If there's something I learned after all these years is that Grandmaster Steinar goes above and beyond to make every release as good and bug free as possible. To be perfectly transparent, I've been running version 1.4.2.19 since May 30, 2025 and it's very much reliable.
