Multiple instances of workflow

Post by Cabe »

I know AviSynth's multiprocessor mode is "experimental" I guess you could say, could I get around it by running the same workflow multiple times on separate files.

e.g I have 4 files to process on a 24 core system, is it possible to configure it so it is performing 4 conversions in parallel?

Hi Cabe and thank you for using FFAStrans!

Curently you can not kick of multiple instances of a workflow but this is something I'm working on and you WILL be able to do that very soon. However, the experimental multiprocessor capability in AviSynth will not affect this upcoming feature as these are to separate issues.

Hi all,

This feature is now under development and initial tests exhibit some great results :D There are however some issues that has to be resolved prior to the next release which will be 0.4.0beta. In addition, the next version will have much improved farming capabilities and the ability to have multiple different monitors on the same workflow + some other neat stuff 8-)
