Re: Watch folder did not pick up jobs

Hi Dinesh, thank you for submitting what I asked for. I think I know why you have problems and I suspect it's also related to your other problem reported here: http://www.ffastrans.com/frm/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=718 I have seen this issue before and there seems to be a problem that sometimes occu...

Re: Custom FFMPEG bitrate ignored

Hi clking,

Can you please try and insert the video bitrate directly in your command line, instead of the gui? It will override the gui settings. See if that works.

Re: XDCAM Encoder -> AVID Project Structure -> Tape Name = Volume Name

Ah, I see, you want the drive/volume label :-) Well, FFAStrans does not support getting label names from drives/volumes but I will take a look at it.

Re: Ffastrans on Linux ?

Yes, I'm aware of that. The challenge is to rewrite the whole shebang in another language. That's a LOT of work, and something I will probably never do unless someone pays a lot of money for it. So I think it's highly unlikely there will be a Linux version with the current state of FFAStrans. -steinar

Re: AntiVirus Detection

Yes I know this all too well :-( Turning of your AV is a bad idea but any good AV-software will let you set exceptions for files being wrongfully flagged as malicious. So it should not be that big a problem, but I totaly agree with you. Some will likely NOT use the software because of this, and I wo...

Re: Minimize to system tray

Hi all, I'm sorry but i simply forgot this request, so thanks for reminding. You might also consider running FFAStrans as service. It works very well. Anyway, I will try and add system tray very soon.

Re: Watch folder did not pick up jobs

I'm sorry you have problems with FFAStrans not picking up files and I would really like to find the cause of this. Could you please zip the FFAStrans\Processors\.cache\wfs folder and send it to post@ffastrans.com? Don't post it on this forum. Also, just write the down full path of some files that HA...

Re: Password to avoid changes

Hi Benjamin :-) Thanks for the notification. Actually, FFAStrans used to have a working mechanism for protecting workflows but it broke several versions ago and it did'nt recieve any TLC after that. So, the options are already there under workflow properties -> Special but is not working. SO, I'm fi...

Re: XDCAM Encoder -> AVID Project Structure -> Tape Name = Volume Name

Hi Hans, thank you for those kind words and for using FFAStrans, and welcome to the forum! :-)

I'm unable to reproduce the issue. Both variables seem to work fine. What data do you get in the "Tape"-field in Avid?
