Re: speed issue with new 0.9.4 FFAStrans version

I have tried both versions and I can not see any notable difference in encoding speed. But I have not tried QT-refs yet. It might be the one causing the issue.

Re: Command Executer output to variable etc.

Hi Gilles, thank you for using FFAStrans and welcome to the forum! :-)

Yes, that is what I mean.
Currently you cannot output stdout/err directly to a FFAStrans variable. But it's a good idea to look at the options. Thanks for posing the idea :-)

Re: h.264 codec video bitrate variable mismatch

Hi clking This is not a bug but expected behavor; The bitrate input field takes whatever value is in the field. When replacing a value with a variable, the variable holds data which may or may not be a sane value in this context. Now, the %i_v_bitrate% variable returns the bitrate in bits per second...

Re: Line 36058 error

No, it's a bug and it has been corrected. The error was very clear in the source code. No need to blame you, your computers or your workflow ;-) I will post a patch hopefully tomorrow together with some other fixes.

Thanks again for reporting! :-)

Re: speed issue with new 0.9.4 FFAStrans version

Hi Ghtais,

As you may know, FFAStrans rely on third party codecs in order to to the decoding and encoding. So FFAStrans itself should influence encoding speed. If you have more than one workflow, does all exhibit the same behavor?

Hi Terry, thank you for using FFAStrans and welcome to the forum! :-) I'm very glad you have used FFAStrans for 3 years without this kind of problems and I'm very happy you reported this bug. And I'm sorry you went through all that trouble in order to fix it as all those attempts are futile. Wheneve...

Re: Loudness true peak limiting

Hi jonathonz, thank you for using FFAStrans and welcome to the forum! :-) I was working on this a while ago and have a proof of conept, but it's not finished enough for a release. Also, I had to put it to rest for a while because of other work. The problem with setting both LUFS and TP is that the o...

Re: 2 pass h264 encode for size limit

Hi Benjamin :-)
I tried directly on DOS and it's ok, it's when I try to use inside ffastrans that I begin to cry :)
What kind of problems do you have with the custom ffmpeg encoder node? Does it not work as expected?

Re: Can't add trailing backslash to %s_original_path%

Ok, I seem to have found the issue. This is not FFAStrans fault but the BMX wrapper that deals poorly with this particular scenario. However, it seems that adding a double backslash might solve it: "%s_original_path%\\". Please try that and report back.
